The Off-road Vehicle Section consists of all the significant importers and manufacturers of snowmobiles and All-terrain-vehicles (ATV) in Finland. The Finnish market has been growing strongly throughout the last decade. These vehicles are not only for leisure. The use of snow mobiles among institutions such as police, fire departments, rescue and border control is increasing, whereas ATV’s help the ever increasing population of city landowners maintain their properties.
The section interacts with its stakeholders (several ministries, Customs, Vehicle Administration, and the forest municipalities), makes updates in consumer information on the right choice of product and ensures safe, environmentally friendly usage. The section has been active within the working groups of the field’s legislation and municipalities. In addition, in collaboration with Statistics Finland, the section publishes statistics on the registrations in the field.
The section organizes the annual Snow Mobile and ATV exhibition; which has interested both the stakeholders in the field and the consumers. In addition, it organizes customer events in cooperation with dealers and holds forums with the media.
