Gardening has increased throughout the 21st century. This development is enhanced by the structural change in the residence business and in professional real estate maintenance. The Power Equipment Section comprises importers and wholesalers of chainsaws and gardening equipment. The section includes companies representing the leading brands in Finland. These companies have established a strong position in the market. The products represented by the section are used by consumers and professionals.
The power equipment sales of the members’ (small gardening equipment, blowers and saws) in 2008 was (€) 50 million.
Operations of the section involve overseeing the business environment and marketing the field of business. One of the key operational tools of the section is the market statistic. The section promotes occupational safety and the members are continuously developing their after sales services – a well operating spare part and maintenance service has become an important part of their service concept. In addition, the section cooperates with significant fair and conference venues in Finland.
The section represents such products as cutters, saws, blowers, shredders, snow blowers and pumps.
