Steel wholesale takes care of the import and distribution of steel. Steel wholesalers mainly supply steel and metals to the metal and construction industries. The steel business is becoming ever more a prefabrication service and is based on the needs of the customers. Simultaneously, the share of traditional steel deliveries has been continuously decreasing.
The members of the Steel Stockholder’s Section represent all the most significant companies engaged in the prefabrication and distribution of steel. The main focus of the Steel Stockholder’s Section is delivering prefabricated steel. Prefabricating steel enables the delivery of the products directly to the customers’ production site made according to their wishes. The product range consists of steel, stainless steel, copper and aluminum products.
The central focus in the operation of the Steel Stockholder’s section is to develop the networking cooperation with the organizations representing the customers, The Finnish Technology Industries and the Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries. The goal is to participate in networking ventures that create added value for both parties. The section also publicises opportunities provided by steel prefabrication and develops research activities promoting the prefabrication of steel.
The target of the Steel Stockholder’s section is to participate in projects included in the TRIO-program, which engages in enhancing the networks of the Finnish Technology Industries.
The Steel Stockholder’s Section is a member of the international umbrella organization of steel commerce, EUROMETAL.
