Off-road Vehicles

The Off-road Vehicle section consists of the significant importers and manufacturers of snowmobiles and all-terrain-vehicles (ATV) in Finland. The industrial’s products are widely used: the industry serves both leisure activities and, typically, snowmobiles are used by several occupational groups and authorities such as the police, fire department, rescue department and border guards. Different off-road vehicles also help urban landowners to maintain their properties.

The section maintains the connection between the industry and it’s interests groups such as several ministries, Traficom, Customs, forest authorities. The section also produces consumer information in order to ensure the right choice of product as well as safe and environmentally friendly use.

The section has been active in legislation projects and industry working groups. In addition, the member companies of the section organise customer events in cooperation with retailers, as well as separate forums with the media.

The Chairman of the section is Vesa Ylä-Outinen from Polaris Finland Oy and Lauri Leskinen is the General Secretary of the section.
