The Tyre Manufacturers Section promotes road safety, responsible motoring and the development of the tyre industry in cooperation with authorities, organisations and other stakeholders.
Its goal is to keep motorists, industry professionals and stakeholders up to date on tyre-related knowledge. Information related to tyre selection, use, maintenance and condition has a direct impact on road safety, costs and more responsible mobility.
Tyre manufacturers have been involved in initiatives such as the Tyre Forum, the Tyre Seller’s Handbook and the Tyre Raid campaign. Through these, the section has highlighted the importance of tyres, strengthened dialogue within the industry and supported practical tyre expertise.

The importance of tyres is growing as traffic changes
The Tyre Manufacturers Section monitors changes in traffic and vehicle technology and highlights their impact on tyres. Electrification, increasing vehicle weights, higher torque, new emissions requirements and circular economy targets are increasing the technical demands placed on tyres.
